Often I come across useful illustrations or ornaments in old books or magazines. Sometimes they need a bit of cleaning up to be used, and there is no reason you should not benefit from the work I’ve already done.
All these illustrations come from sources that are in the public domain in the United States, so they can be used without restriction. Usually clicking on a picture will take you to a full-size version of that image. You can also embed a picture directly on a Web site; the images are hosted on servers that place no restrictions on bandwidth.
